No there’s also local beer, cider and quite a few strip clubs to try out. There’s a magnificent seven venues in Staffs, that’s three in Stoke-on-Trent, two in Cannock and a single club in Newcastle under Lyme and Tamworth. Considering it is not that far from Birmingham down the M6, this stunning area has a lot of offer the strip fan, particularly ST1 Gold which is based in Hanley in Stoke city centre.

Take a ride on one of the amazing theme rides at Alton Towers for a day or two of fun. It’s the biggest theme park in the UK with world famous rides and attractions all year round.

The biggest city is Stoke-On-Trent but it comes under a unitary authority, it has almost a third of the total population of Staffordshire. Famous for it’s quality pottery, it’s where Wedgewood products originally comes from. Mining and metalwork are just a few of the other traditional industries in the city. It’s football team is Stoke City playing in the Premiership and are one of the worlds oldest teams. Their most famous player is winger Sir Stanley Mathews who played with them for over 21 years (squeezing in 14 years in between for Blackpool!), ending his career aged 52!

The only national forest park in staffs is Cannock Chase, named after the ancient hunting region or Royal Hunt which it was originally based on. It hosts various family activities, walks and mountain bike trails year round.

Muscle dogs, tasty real ale from the tap, no frills humour, footie, strip clubs. This is a Midlands gem of a region which could teach the north (and down south) a thing or two about how to have fun.
