Containing as it does several of the main south coast port towns, popular with holiday makers (including Plymouth, Torquay, Torbay and Exmouth), Devon should rank as one of England’s favourite spots for relaxing. It also contains Dartmoor National Park which hosts horse riding, guided tours and has iron age sites galore.
Mostly though Devon is about the sea, most of its population are based along the south coast. In fact, three of its most famous personages are related to shipping and exploration: Sir Francis Drake, Sir Walter Raleigh and Scott of The Antarctic! It has small sized fishing and farming operations but these have suffered in recent years making way for tourism and watersports.
If you love surfing or water sports you will already know the area, its warm weather and challenging waves make it an amazing place for catching a wave or two. It has many beaches as well as many popular holiday cottages which bring tourists from all over the UK during the summer months. Stunning coast line, dramatic cliffs and loads of sunshine time add up to an excellent domestic destination. It has two National Hunt horse racing courses, Exeter and Newton Abbot, making the place popular with punters and stable owners!
Devon has five strip clubs, all based on the south coast towns: Plymouth (two clubs), Torquay, Paignton and Exmouth with one each. None though in biggest town the more central Exeter.
Tourist, surf bum, rambler, racing fan, sun seeker or just passing through to Cornwall or elsewhere on the south coast, its well worth making a stop in Devonshire to eat some local catch fish, drink local brewed beer and enjoy the sun. Get away from it all and still enjoy world class strip and lap dancing entertainment on the sunny south cost of England.
